Overseas Qualified Midwives Assessment Program
This course is designed for the participant to develop an understanding of midwifery practice in Australia and to be assessed against the professional entry level competency standards for authorisation to practice midwifery in NSW.
Course Content:
> Orientation to Australian midwifery practice.
> Supervised clinical experience.
> Assessment against the Nurses Registration Board of NSW Competencies of the Midwife.
Recommendation for authorisation to practice midwifery in NSW.
Permanent resident. Other visa categories permitted (fees may apply). >Language proficiency - ISLPR 3+, IELTS Academic Module 7, OET B pass. >Letter of referral from Nurses Registration Board of NSW. >Resident of NSW.
