Canberra College in Woden
EAAS Chinese School is one of the oldest Chinese community school in the ACT. Classes are run on Sunday mornings for school age children from 10am until 12 noon during school term at the Canberra College (formerly Phillip College) in Launceston Street, Woden. The classes are most suitable for Children from non-Chinese speaking background. All teachers are native speakers of the Chinese language. Cultural activities are also held from time to time. Fees $240 per year.
“The objectives of the Association (School) shall be to contribute to the development and promotion of a multicultural society in Australia through:
(a) The teaching, learning and maintenance of the Chinese language as a community language;
(b) Interests in the Chinese history and culture; and
(c) Better communication and co-operation with other Ethnic Schools.”
