English for Tertiary Studies
This program has been specifically designed for students who need to improve their English to gain admission to an academic program.
Course Content:
>Study skills.
>Language development.
>University level essay writing.
>Research skills.
>Library skills and oral presentation skills.
>Listening skills.
>Note-taking, selecting and applying relevant information.
>Critical Analysis and referencing skills.
Students receive a Wollongong University College ETS grade which is recognised for entry to Wollongong University College courses and to the University of Wollongong.
>For 15 weeks ETS: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum 5.0 in reading & writing) or TOEFL 500 >For 10 weeks ETS: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum 5.0 in reading & writing) or TOEFL 525. Studentswithout an internationally recognised English Language Test may take the Colleges English Language Placement Test free of charge.
