Multicultural Child Care Disabilities Certificate III
Accredited entry level specialist disability training program for people from a non-English Speaking backgrounds wishing to pursue a career in the Child Care industry by applying their cultural and linguistic abilities to benefit federally funded Children's Services.
Course Content:
> The Special Needs Worker.
> Developmental Perspectives on Impairments and Disabilities.
> Early Intervention and Practical Strategies.
> Principles of Integration and Inclusion.
> Disabilities within a Cultural Context.
> Child Protection.
Outcomes:>Certificate III Multicultural Childcare Disabilities.>Career opportunities in the childcare industry.
>Eligible for casual employment in Commonwealth funded Children's Services through the Casual Ethnic Workers Pool (CEWP) program, sponsored by the Ethnic Child Care, Family and Community Services Co-op Ltd. >Completion of Certificate III Multicultural Childcare. >Be bi-cultural/bi-lingual. >Speak, read, write, and comprehend English to IELTS level 5.5 or more. >Have experience and qualifications in early childhood or social sciences (overseas or Australian). >Be available to undertake full-time study for a minimum of twelve (12) weeks.
