“Acting Together” is a joint initiative of DVV International and its partners, the History Foundation (Turkey) and the Armenian Centre for Ethnological Studies “Hazarashen” (Armenia) and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. A century after the Genocide, we aim at building bridges between the people of Turkey and Armenia through adult education, journalism, oral history and art.
Preparation and Timeline
Selected participants will be required to attend three preparatory workshops in their respective countries before the joint journey in September. The workshops will be held in July and August (the dates to be defined) and would cover the following:
• Project presentation and discussion;
• Introduction to Oral History methodology;
• Conflict resolution skills;
You will be also required to read materials included in a Reading Package. The participation in these workshops, as well as final meeting in Istanbul in 2016 (dates to be clarified) is mandatory.
The desired applicants should also meet the following general criteria:
• Armenian or Turkish nationals;
• aged between 20 and 28;
