Course Summary:
To develop pronunciation, improve fluency and clarity of speech and practice listening and conversational skills.
Course Content:
>Learning the phonetic sounds and symbols of English speech.
>Increasing the ability to hear differences in sounds, recognise and produce particular sounds.
>Using linking sounds to improve fluency and clarity of speech.
>Effectively using strong and weak stress patterns to improve fluency of speech.
>Effectively using intonation to convey meaning.
>Improving listening skills through a variety of activities.
>Increasing the understanding of English pronunciation through awareness activities.
>Increasing the ability to hear differences in sounds, recognise and produce particular sounds.

Eligibility:
>Persons from a non-English speaking background with at least an intermediate level of proficiency in spoken English.>ISLPR 2 and above.

Dates and Times:
Courses offered every 5 weeks.Tuesday and Thursday, 6.30 to 8.30pm.Saturday 9.00am to 1.30pm.Four hours tuition per week for 5 weeks.
