To develop language skills for employment and to assist learners to clarify work options in the current labour market context.
Course Content:
> Development of language skills for employment (eg finding relevant information in newspapers, completing a variety of forms, participating in small group discussions which focus on detailing information about work history, telephone enquiries, writing short reports in a workplace context) 
> Development of relevant learning strategies (eg using different sources of information, maximising past personal
history and work experience).
> Understanding the Australian employment context (eg the job market and work practices; this may include workplace
visits or some limited work experience).
> Goal clarification and learner pathway planning to develop an awareness of available work options in the current Australian job market.

Outcomes: 
This course leads to a Statement of Attainment from the VETAB accredited Certificate III in Spoken and Written English .

Learners who are seeking employment. Learners who wish to investigate work options and formulate work goals. Language proficiency:Intermediate. ISLPR 1+ to 2. Learning pace: medium to fast.
