>Develops English language skills in a medical context.>Assists students who are preparing to sit for the Occupational English Test(OET) for overseas-trained health professionals.>Modular course:Students may enrol in individual skills components or in the whole course
Course Content:
> Referral letter writing.
> Listening - lecture and professional consultation
> Reading - medical/science related texts
> Cross cultural awareness
> OET test practice
>Awareness of the use of colloquial and idiomatic English
>Certified by the University of NSW, Institute of Languages.>External test readiness; pathway to employment.
>Overseas trained health professionals (doctors, medical specialists, dentists, radiographers, veterinarians, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, pharmacists, physiotherapists).>ISLPR 1+ to 3.>Migrants eligible for AMEP 510 hours of English
