IELTS Writing for IELTS Part-time Course

Course Summary:
To familiarise IELTS candidates with the basic features of well written IELTS type essays and provide practice to develop writing skills.
Course Content:
>Analysing essay questions.
>Interpreting tables and graphs.
>Producing well-written texts describing and/or comparing data presented in tables and graphs.
>Constructing well-written paragraphs.
>Analysing and understanding the structure and language features of discussion genre essays.
>Identifying the textual organisation and language features of an essay discussing problems and solutions.
>Brainstorming essay questions, organising ideas and preparing a plan.
>Producing well-organised answers to IELTS-type writing tasks.

Eligibility:
The course is recommended for people from a non-English speaking background with little or no training in writing English in a formal academic style and suitable for those with an intermediate or higher level of general proficiency in English. ISLPR 2 and above.

Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday 6.30-8.30pm or Saturday 9.00am-1.30pm. Four hours tuition per week for 5 weeks.Courses offered every 5 weeks.
